Space is the place… to store your gear. I currently own six pedals: DS-1, TS 9, Dunlop Wah, Walrus Eons fuzz, Jessup Amps Kenny Hickey (of Type-O Negative fame) chorus, and a TWA (Totally Wicked Audio) Octoverdrive. Got a few more on my wish-list, mainly the basics like a looper, delay, etc. Pedals aren’t cheap these days! Still, I can see how collecting them can become an addiction. They seem to hold their value in the long run tho, as production numbers can sometimes be fairly limited. I keep the boxes and everything like a hoarder for maximum return on my divestments. Always been a “straight into the amp” guy, but pedals can be fun if you don’t mind tinkering with knobs and spending lots of money on little boxes that may or may not be of much use outside of a recording scenario.

It be aqua and it be poiple.. 🤔 Aqua and poiple, it be!! 🙆‍♂️ Wouldn't you know it, but aqua be mine favourite colour.. I luv blue & green - and all the ways they interact with each other. Be that aqua, teal, turquoise, azure, lake placid blue... or two contrasting blue & green colours side by side: Kawasaki slime green juxtaposed next to toy car blue. I'm obsessed with blue/green! This amp, though... 😬 → Let mine guit be lary... Salmon pink or metallic margarita green... Fiesta Red or Seafoam Green. But make mine amp classic - like tweed... or JCM800 gold & black. Even bright Orange... but just not aqua n' poiple. Just not aqua 'n' poiple! Yup.

I try to keep my pedal board simple, so the older ones wind up in a bin. But every once in a while I’ll do an inventory and to my surprise find something I forgot I had that’s either worth way more than I paid for or something cool sounding that I’ll swap back in. Great job

That is a great finish! Would love to see a shootout between the ES-335 and the P90 ES-339. Guitar Center also has Epiphone ES-335 Traditional Pros which I think are a pretty good value. I don't own one since I tend to find ES-335s a bit too big for my preference, but I've compared them with the standard Epiphone ES-335s in-store before. Despite lacking the burst finishes and block inlays, they sound and feel just as good, are less expensive, and they have coil-splits like my humbucker Epiphone ES-339 Pro, which I always think is nice to have and add a bit of extra versatility. I also saw an Amazon brand called WestCreek makes a semi-hollow called the 333, which from reviews seems to be between the sizes of a 335 and 339, so I might have to get one at some point to try and see if I prefer something larger than my 339 but not as big as a 335.

Hey so this sounds like a great idea as I love a lot of line6 effects. Here is the question, how does the latency stack up? The TONEX itself not plugged into a computer is 2.2ms so one of the best how does the loop on the helix affect it? It is noticeable as I love the feel, I myself have a FM3 and I think I would rather a small mini board around the TONEX.

I recently got the DG335 and I don’t know what it is about the style of guitar that makes it such a songwriter! Coming up with more licks every time I pick it up. You got a nice one there! Great intro jam.

Nice Vid Rich!! I just purchased the EL34 Combo version of this Amp and am having problems you might be able to help me with. When I set the EQ on the Clean Channel it sounds GREAT, but when I switch to the Gain Channel it's all Highs and Mids. When I set the EQ for the Gain Channel then switch to the Clean Channel it's all Bass! I really like this Amp and the sound of each Channel. I'm also 71 with back issues and this all Tube Amp is Great for that. But I can't stop during a LIVE Gig and Re-EQ the Amp all the time. Please HELP!! Thank you Sir. Cheers from Salem, Oh. Love your videos! I was also interested in the Bonamassa ES335 because of the pickups, but I decided to get an Epi ES335 Raspberry Burst. I still need to set it up.

Does the compressor pedal also work on electric bass?

My PRS did the same. It was extreme and I got rid of it and got the exact replacement and it also changes. It will be my last PRS. None of my other guitars have this issue. The relief wiould change more than .030 from winter to summer. The new one is not as bad, but it is still too much change for me.

Totally makes sense; IR on on your modeller, and power amp in...and give FOH a copy of the same input for the fronts.

Because there are only 1 springs in the back, does it affect double stop bends?

I have had these new epis and moved them on. Reason is the pickups. Side by side the Gibson pickups are wayeeee better and the epi although good in terms of pickups sound dull and uninspiring, you can swap em out but to me its pointless. A good starter guitar though.

They’re a bit on the heavy side yes? I had a Sire H7 but it was just too heavy, beautiful guitar, great quality and playability; but just heavy. Same reason I ditched my Duesie CC Model, extremely heavy. I just don’t like heavy guitars.

Some nice playing again Rich. I'm a sucker for a flame top ( so much nicer than a plain top ). Looks like you have the new headstock model. I regret selling my Epi 335 approx. 18 years ago although I don't think it would have had the same pickups. Guitar sounds good. Have fun with it.

I bought the chunky neck 58 IG 335 by Epiphone and really fell in love with it. That and a black guard tele have become my main two electrics....I did have the output jack on mine upgraded and put some flat wounds on it. Awesome instrumeent...that's a pretty one!

Used to have an 03 Epi dot. Just didn't get on with the slim taper neck. I think I read that they changed the "slim taper" profile since then, so I may have to give it another shot with a newer one.

Congrats!! Love the color. I do find that the pickups sound very much the same. Not much dynamics may e? Might be how they pass through YT. Interested to know better what pickups those are. Ceramic or real Gibson burst. I just changed my t490s from my tribute LP to the Gibson 57s and they are night and day. Not that expensive of an upgrade. The other not expensive upgrade is changing a PCB wiring to hand wiring with orange or bumble bee capacitors and 500k pots if they aren’t already (Maybe 50s wiring?) Cause that guitar looks killer. !!
